Why They Should Be Included
The Texas Blackhawks have a 35+ year legacy in the DFW area. Their mission is to develop the player as a whole and prepare every player for high school, college and/or pro baseball. The program has indeed produced multiple MLB players and numerous college athletes – for example, Blackhawks alumni include MLB infielder Sheldon Neuse (Golden Spikes finalist) and others who have reached the majors.
The Blackhawks’ longstanding tradition of excellence, high-caliber coaching, and proven results (with 5 MLB alumni and many college signees in their history) make them a program that merits recognition. Despite not being on the current NTXSelect list, their focus on teaching and motivating players to reach their potential and decades of success strongly justify inclusion.
