North Texas Youth Baseball Tournaments: 2027 Parent Guide
The 2027 North Texas youth baseball tournaments season is already on the calendar: USSSA Texas, Perfect Game, 2D Sports and NCS have posted DFW dates from early February through the June World Series weeks, with many spring weekends at a few hubs: Burleson (Chisenhall Sports Complex), Mansfield (Fields at Station 63), Little Elm and the Greenville area. Posted team entry fees in this guide run from $100 to $825 depending on the event and age group, and the gate you pay as a parent ranges from free to $15 a person, depending on who runs the event. Below: who runs what, every 2027 date we could confirm on an organizer’s own page as of late October 2026, the gate-fee and hotel rules that catch families off guard, and how to read the schedule once it drops.
Tournaments are where most of your select-baseball money and weekends go, so it pays to know what your team is signing you up for. If you’re new to select ball, start with the Ultimate Guide to Select Baseball in North Texas for the big picture on classifications and tryouts. This page is the tournament side: organizers, dates, fees and the fine print. Dates and rules change, so always confirm on the event page before you book a hotel.
Who runs youth baseball tournaments in North Texas
Most DFW tournament weekends come from a handful of organizers. Your team picks the events; you mostly live with the rules of whoever runs them. These are the ones with North Texas events posted right now:
- USSSA Texas Baseball. The biggest calendar in the state. Its Texas events page lists 2027 events from January through summer, labeled by stature (State Qualifier, USSSA NIT, World Series). DFW events cluster in Burleson, Little Elm and the Greenville area, with a fall state championship in Duncanville on November 7–8, 2026.
- Perfect Game (PG Dallas Youth). PG’s Dallas youth office runs a steady list of 2027 one-day and weekend events at Fields at Station 63 in Mansfield (the former Big League Dreams park, reopened in September 2025 with turf on all eight fields), plus a multi-site North Texas Super Regional in March.
- 2D Sports. Has posted 2027 Burleson events at Chisenhall, with GameChanger stats for every game and a format that is spelled out on each event page (more on that below).
- 24 Sports. A DFW-based organizer. Its tournament list shows venues in Arlington (All-Star Legacy Fields at Senter Park), Midlothian Community Park and Texoma Health Foundation Park in Denison. When we checked, its 2027 spring dates weren’t posted yet. If your weekend lands in Denison, Grayson County Line keeps a local list of Denison restaurants for the gap between games.
- NCS (National Championship Sports). Runs the NCS DFW World Series in late June; the event site lists Diamond Sports Events in Arlington as its home office.
Other organizers book DFW fields too, and a team’s season can mix several of them. That isn’t a red flag. What matters is that your coach can tell you which events are on the schedule, and why.

2027 North Texas tournament dates already posted
Every row below comes from the organizer’s own event page, checked October 27, 2026. Entry fees are what the team pays, not you at the gate; they’re shown where the page lists them. This is not every event. It’s the ones confirmed so far, and organizers keep adding to the calendar through the winter.

USSSA also lists Greenville-area NITs on April 3–4, April 17–18 and May 1–2 on its Texas lodging calendar. The NCS registration page lists the even-age World Series as June 18–23, one day off from the event site, so confirm the start date with your team before you request time off.
The season pattern is the same every year, even when dates aren’t posted yet. Fall ball winds down in November, spring tournaments start in early February, the busiest stretch runs March through May, and June is World Series month. If your team’s schedule shows a weekend with no event name, ask what the plan is before you pay for it.
Gate fees: four different models in one metro
The gate is the part of the bill most families never see coming, because it isn’t in the team fee. North Texas organizers handle it four different ways, and the same complex can charge different amounts for different events:
| Event / organizer | How the gate works | Posted amount |
|---|---|---|
| PG Mansfield events at Fields at Station 63 (Battle of the Bats, Easter One Day, Battle for the Rings, Spring Showdown) | Per person at the gate, card only | $12; ages 7–12, military/veterans and seniors $7; 3 coaches free |
| PG North Texas Super Regional NIT (Station 63 and Chisenhall) | Per person at the gate, card only | $15; ages 7–12, military/veterans and seniors $10 |
| 2D Sports (Burleson events) | Per person, per day, cashless | $15 a day general admission; 10 and under free |
| NCS DFW World Series | Team pays per rostered player at check-in | $85 per player; free entry for all fans and parents |
| USSSA Texas (2027 DFW events) | Set per event | Listed as “TBA” when we checked |
Do the math before the weekend. Two parents at a two-day 2D Sports event pay $60 at the gate before anyone buys a Gatorade. At the NCS World Series, parents walk in free, but on a hypothetical 12-player roster the team owes $1,020 at check-in, which usually gets split among families. 24 Sports works differently again: its 2026 event pages say a team’s gate fee has to be paid at registration to confirm the spot. Our guide to what select baseball costs in North Texas puts a local weekend you sleep at home for at roughly $150–$400 in gas, food and gate, and an overnight Texas tournament at roughly $400–$900+ once you add a hotel.

Hotels and “stay-to-play” rules
Some events require teams to book rooms through the organizer’s housing partner. Perfect Game’s 2027 North Texas Super Regional NIT page, for example, says “Event Lodging Required,” with an 8-room-night minimum for a team to be compliant, booked through PG’s housing contact. That rule exists even though many DFW families could drive home each night.
USSSA Texas event pages include a “Find Hotels” tool near the venues, but the 2027 DFW pages we checked didn’t state a booking requirement. Before you book a cheaper room on your own, ask your team manager one question: “Is this a stay-to-play event, and has our block been booked?” PG treats that room minimum as a compliance requirement, so confirm it before anyone books elsewhere.
How to read a tournament schedule
The schedule usually posts a few days before the event, and it looks more complicated than it is. Here’s what the common terms mean:
- Game guarantee (3GG). The minimum number of games your team will play, weather permitting. Many events we checked guarantee three.
- Pool play. The first games, often Saturday (sometimes Friday and Saturday at bigger events), used to seed the bracket. Your pool record and the event’s tiebreakers decide where you land.
- Bracket. Sunday’s elimination games. Single elimination means one loss ends your weekend; a few events, like USSSA’s June World Series Warmup in Burleson, advertise double elimination.
- Home/away and time limits. 2D Sports spells it out: home team by coin flip in pool play, higher seed in the bracket, and time limits of 1 hour 20 minutes for 7U–8U, 1 hour 30 minutes for 9U–12U, and 1 hour 40 minutes for 13U–14U. Time limits are why a Sunday can end at noon or at 9 p.m.
- Start times. Perfect Game says games can begin as early as 8:00 a.m. on the first listed date, so don’t plan around an afternoon first pitch until the schedule is out.
Once you’re there, scores and brackets usually update in an app. If your team uses GameChanger, our GameChanger tutorial for parents walks you through following along. Division labels (AA, AAA, Major, Open) tell you the level of competition; here’s what those rankings actually mean.

Rules that catch North Texas families off guard
- Coolers and outside food. The 2D Sports Burleson pages say “No coolers.” The PG Super Regional page says coolers aren’t allowed, and PG’s Station 63 events say no outside food. Check before you load the wagon.
- Turf rules. No gum, seeds or metal spikes on turf shows up on PG and 2D event pages. Pack turf shoes or molded cleats.
- Card-only gates. PG at Station 63 and Chisenhall is card only, and 2D Sports gates are cashless (debit, credit, Apple Pay or Google Pay). NCS takes cash or card for the team gate fee, with a 3% fee on cards.
- Pitching limits vary by event. The NCS World Series caps pitching by outs for the whole tournament: 30 outs for 10U and 12U, 33 for 14U. 2D Sports pages list “2 day” or “3 day” pitching rules depending on the event. Ask your coach which rules apply before a three-game Saturday.
- Refunds. Perfect Game’s policy says no refunds after payment, with credit toward a future event if the team cancels at least 3 weeks out. NCS lists both the entry fee and the team gate fee as non-refundable. That’s the team’s money, but it often comes from yours.
For everything else that goes in the trunk, use our baseball tournament packing list. If you’re still shopping for shade and seating, here’s our take on the best baseball chairs, wagons and canopies for tournament weekends. Just remember those cooler rules.
World Series week in June
June is the big finish. USSSA’s DFW World Series runs June 11–15, 2027 across Arlington, Waxahachie, Red Oak, Midlothian and Ferris, with entry fees posted at $705–$825. The NCS DFW World Series follows, split by even and odd ages, and its site lists a Texas Rangers Game Day and Parade of Teams at Globe Life Field, pin trading and skills competitions. When we checked, NCS registration was marked “coming soon.”
These weeks are long, hot and expensive. A five- to seven-day event means hotel nights for families from outside the area and missed work for everyone else. Ask early whether your team is going, and whether that cost is already in your fee.

Questions to ask your team before the 2027 schedule is final
- Which organizers and events are we planning to play, and how many weekends total?
- Are tournament entry fees included in our team fee, or billed as we go?
- Which events, if any, are stay-to-play, and who books the room block?
- Who covers gate fees or per-player check-in fees like the NCS World Series charge?
- Are we playing a June World Series, and is that in the budget we were given?
- If an event gets rained out, does the team get a credit, and does that credit reach families?
